OECHSLERhealth Is Supporting Schreiner MediPharm’s New Cap-Lock Solution for Vials with Industrialization Expertise

OECHSLERhealth is pleased to announce the successful collaboration with Schreiner MediPharm on the development and industrialization of the new Cap-Lock for vials. Schreiner MediPharm, a leading developer and manufacturer of innovative functional labels for the healthcare industry, is introducing Cap-Lock for vials, a novel solution that provides both analog and digital first-opening indication. It meets key requirements for product integrity, patient safety, and the growing digitalization of pharmaceutical primary packaging.
Together with Schreiner MediPharm, OECHSLERhealth developed several functional cap design options for different vial sizes and transformed the original concept into a plastic-optimized, industrially robust product design. Through demand-oriented material selection and a application-appropriate definition of manufacturing tolerances, the team ensured both the secure attachment of the cap on various vials and flip-off caps as well as high process reliability. The solution can be seamlessly integrated into existing packaging and logistics processess.
